Swami
Vivekanand Vidyalay Asde
|
Bhadas-Gawdewadi-Shileshwar,,Asde-Khubawali
are 5 villages located on the bank of river Mula. They were
isolated from rest of tehsil due to dead end of tad road at
Bhadas. The students had schooling facility up to the 4th standard
in each village. They had to cross the river for further schooling.
Summer vacation followed by rainy season used to cause a major
discontinuity of about 5 months. It used to result in a dropout
rate of up to 50% in boys & up to 85-90% in girls.
Organization identified this problem and on the request
of villagers decided to open the school in 1995. Thus on the
1st
June 1995 a secondary school ‘Swami Vivekanand Vidyalaya’ was
inaugurated with 34 students in the 5th standard.

Sakhar Shala
- (School for temporary migrants)
Due to a
newly started sugar factory, sugarcane cultivation is increasing
and sugarcane cutting is a new avenue of employment on
large scale for about 6 months. This causes migration from
about
5-6 districts like Nagar-Beed etc. Entire family migrates
for 6 months which causes discontinuation of schooling
for small children.
We have identified this problem and are now running 2 or
3 Sakhar Shalas at convenient places.
